The Cactus Shadows Fine Arts Center, located on the Cave Creek School District campus, hosts an impressive calendar of events. Classical music symposiums and recitals by internationally acclaimed composers and artists perform here. Mime theater, international dance troupes, and the Desert Foothills Community Theater present first rate programs. The children of the school district also use the Fine Arts Center for class plays, band ensembles and chorus recitals to the delight of the residents.
The Cave Creek Museum houses the community's history with many prehistoric Southwest artifacts and an extensive collection of mining and ranching items. The museum, a beautiful Southwest style building, is located on Basin and Skyline Roads in Cave Creek. Also, on the museum grounds is a restored church that now holds services and a tubercular cabin.
Fiesta Days Rodeo and Parade brings the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association to Cave Creek every April. A colorful parade features hundreds of fun entries marching down the main street. The rodeo events are held in the Maricopa County Regional Park, where the panoramic views are as splendid as the events are exciting.
From this area, centrally located in the state, it's easy to get to many of Arizona's boundless attractions within one day.
